 options here are to change all of the various builds to not use rpaths,
 which is getting increasingly impractical, ...or to find a way for Tiger
 to absorb the flag.

 Tiger doesn't have the dyld support to use rpaths. but the flag could be
 translated into something Tiger can use, probably with a shell script
 wrapper, that might work for the majority of cases.
