 I got it running without those errors. It seems I did not have XQuartz
 entirely removed. I had a terrible time finding the instructions to do so,
 so you might want to add them somewhere in the instructions for installing
 0.92.4 on High Sierra:

 launchctl unload /Library/LaunchAgents/org.macosforge.xquartz.startx.plist
 sudo launchctl unload
 /Library/LaunchDaemons/org.macosforge.xquartz.privileged_startx.plist
 sudo rm -rf /opt/X11* /Library/Launch*/org.macosforge.xquartz.*
 /Applications/Utilities/XQuartz.app /etc/*paths.d/*XQuartz
 sudo pkgutil --forget org.macosforge.xquartz.pkg
 }}}

 I was getting a couple other errors, but . . . well, I'm not getting them
 anymore. I'm confused, but I guess it doesn't matter if I'm not getting
 them anymore.

 I'm not sure how to close the ticket. I'm guessing a regular user like me
 doesn't have access to the Status field.
