 We might have to remove i686 as an available architecture  option; **i686
 -apple-darwin** is listed as a Tier 3 platform on the rust-lang.org
 website(1), defined as follows:


 Tier 3 platforms are those which the Rust codebase has support for, but
 which are not built or tested automatically, and may not work. Official
 builds are not available.
