 Hi,

 The first try was {{{port -vd install pdal +debug}}}, this failed at about
 7%. See ''pdal+debug-main.log''

 The second try was the default install, with no user added variants. That
 failed at about 48%. See ''pdal-main.log''


 I saw something mentioning **Undefined symbols for architecture x86_64**
 when scrolling through to see if I could figure this out myself.
