 Makes sense Michael, thanks for the info!

 Given the lack of backward-compatibility between boost releases, multiple
 version-specific ports make perfect sense. That's arguably better than
 being limited to a single, older release.

 And please let me know if there's anything I can do to assist,
 particularly building and testing of dependent ports.
