 It sounds like a bug in jemalloc, not something specific to MacPorts.

 It looks like it has already been
 [https://github.com/jemalloc/jemalloc/issues/1801 reported to the
 developers] and they committed
 [https://github.com/jemalloc/jemalloc/commit/3b4a03b92b2e415415a08f0150fdb9eeb659cd52
 a fix] that we could add to the port.
