 I installed ffmpeg with and without nonfree variant and tried to encode
 video with codec libx264

 When running:

 ffmpeg -c:v libx264 -y -r 5 -i "geomorphology_%d.png" geomorphology.mp4

 I got the error:

 Unknown decoder 'libx264'

 I could not find information about which variant to install to have
 libx264 support (e.g. to make videos compatible with power point)
