 Update on Mame configuration, and the use of a soft link to the binary...

 Based on some quick tests, it looks like Mame isn't soft-link aware: If
 it's run via link, it looks for resources relative to the link itself...
 and doesn't attempt to resolve said link to the actual location.

 Not surprisingly, a hard link isn't any more effective. But I tested that
 too, just-in-case. LOL

 I'm still reviewing the Mame docs, and source code, to see if I'm missing
 anything. But at the moment, it's not encouraging.

 I'll keep digging, and see what code changes are necessary to rectify
 this...
