 Yes, other changes will be needed. Firstly, I think it will need adding to
 the compilers PG

 Once there, it will be available as a 'macports-gcc-devel' compiler
 selection. Also, any ports using the compilers PG will automatically have
 it as a variant.

 Something else that could also be considered is adding it to

 ports/blob/master/_resources/port1.0/compilers/gcc_compilers.tcl

 probably conditionally, only for Arm. That is what defines the default
 fallbacks.
