 For folks (like me) who just need to get around this problem, you can
 temporarily use the "official" git-lfs binary from the Git LFS project
 homepage: https://git-lfs.github.com/

 I just tossed the git-lfs binary into my ~/bin/ directory for now, until
 the Macports build is fixed.
