 For anyone interested, currently I have just pegged back libffi to version
 3.2 on Tiger and Leopard Intel versions until / if someone feels like
 fixing the assembly in libffi.... no small project.

 Because I sometimes cross-compile, and because libffi 3.3 offers no
 detectable advantage over libffi 3.2 on PowerPC that I can see, I also
 pegged libffi to 3.2 on those systems as well in my own repos.

 It is possible that is what we might wind up doing in the libffi Portfile
 in the end (bumping the epoch and pegging < 10.6 at libffi version 3.2).
