I am not sure whether I undestood what the fix is. I did umgrade to the
new version of `curl` by performing the `configure` step with an
additional `--with-curlprefix=/opt/local` argument so that I have now
installed:
{{{
curl @7.73.0_0+ares+http2+sftp_scp+ssl (active) platform='darwin 9'
archs='ppc' date='2020-10-17T15:30:30+0200'
curl-ca-bundle @7.73.0_0 (active) platform='darwin 9' archs='noarch'
date='2020-10-17T11:17:30+0200'
}}}
{{{
pete 239 /\ /opt/local/bin/curl --version
curl 7.73.0 (powerpc-apple-darwin9.8.0) libcurl/7.73.0 OpenSSL/1.1.1h
zlib/1.2.11 zstd/1.4.5 c-ares/1.16.1 libidn2/2.3.0 libpsl/0.21.1
(+libidn2/2.3.0) libssh2/1.9.0 nghttp2/1.41.0
Release-Date: 2020-10-14

rtsp scp sftp smb smbs smtp smtps telnet tftp
Features: AsynchDNS HTTP2 HTTPS-proxy IDN IPv6 Largefile libz NTLM NTLM_WB
PSL SSL TLS-SRP UnixSockets zstd
}}}
`make check` produced, performed as root:
{{{
Warning: dict server unexpectedly alive
TESTDONE: 1097 tests out of 1098 reported OK: 99%
TESTFAIL: These test cases failed: 1452
TESTDONE: 1387 tests were considered during 1606 seconds.
}}}
I still get:
{{{
root 295 /\ /opt/local/libexec/mpstats submit
Submitting data to https://ports.macports.org/statistics/submit/ ...
Error: SSL connect error
while executing
"curl post "submission\[data\]=$json" $stats_url"
}}}
Are any of `ares, http2:, sftp_scp` missing? Shall try them!
