 On High Sierra I can experiment in a quite modern environment. After
 having upgraded some requisites `texlive-bin-extra` was installed (after
 having it uninstalled). Some utilities were already used to finish the
 installation (successfully). Manually I could work successfully with
 texdoc. Many other utilities in this port are meant mostly for very
 special purposes. The handful utilities I tested ran es expected.
