 I wonder if the VM's virtual disk properly supports the mechanisms that
 sqlite uses to guarantee atomicity, like the F_BARRIERFSYNC and
 F_FULLFSYNC fcntls. Those operations would have to be done on the
 underlying real hardware as well to actually work.
