 I have the same problem and it will not be solved with the described
 variants "+cscope+gtk3+huge+lua+perl+python27+python37+tcl+x11+xim".

 From my point of view the file ncurses is missing. I found only the file
 ncurses6-config in /opt/local/bin. Additional point is, that the ncurses
 log file shows an error to download the ncurses-bootstrap source. A direct
 port install of ncurses-bootstrap shows similar errors.
