 Make sure that the dbus environment variable is set in launchd in order to
 find the socket for the session daemon. If the following command returns
 nothing, something is not right.

 $ launchctl getenv DBUS_LAUNCHD_SESSION_BUS_SOCKET
 /private/tmp/com.apple.launchd.[...]/unix_domain_listener
 }}}

 If you are using iTerm2, the way it restores a previous session may break
 the setting of this environment variable through launchd. See the
 [https://gitlab.com/gnachman/iterm2/-/issues/7654 upstream report for
 details] and workarounds.
