Comment:

 Yes -- building compilers is about as hard as a computer will ever work.
 It is very challenging on the system!

 I'm going to close this as this bootstrap comparison failure is a spurious
 error that shows up unpredictably. Certainly, it's an error, just not
 something we can (seem to) permanently fix. I don't think it is a MacPorts
 error.

 If we get repeated tickets about it, we'll have to see ... glad you got
 working.
