 It's possible but I'm not sure. Firstly, it was for a different
 origination point `py39-matplotlib` instead of `py38-matplotlib`, and I'm
 not sure if the distinction is important. Secondly, the suggested
 workaround in #61700 is to try running `port install OpenBLAS +native`.
 This doesn't work and leads to a compile error as well.
