 I've submitted a pull request for hwloc, providing a new variant
 `+no_opencl`. This will allow folks to build hwloc without the OpenCL
 dependency.

 I'm not 100% certain whether that alone will solve the issue, but it's a
 first step.

 Once it's merged, I'll let you know.
