 So I tried to build it on 10.5.8, and it fails with this:

 36-148:~ arjuna$ sudo port install tbb
 Password:
 --->  Computing dependencies for tbb
 Error: Cannot install clang-7.0 for the arch 'powerpc' because
 Error: its dependency python27 does not build for the required arch by
 default
 Error: and the configured universal_archs '' are not sufficient.
