 Only a description of what was happening yesterday is available when I
 launched it:

 • MacBook became very hot and loud
 • system opened a window and asked me to kill some application(s)
 • saw in Terminal that `emacs-app-devel` had launched hundreds or
 thousands of processes that were writing into /var/folders/
 • MacBook became inoperable, no more memory left
 • MacBook had to be forcibly switched off and afterwards Apple file
 systems restored which took half an hour?
