 Among other things, the config.log says:

 error: redefinition of '_OSSwapInt16'
 _OSSwapInt16(
 ^
 }}}
 This is similar to #61858, #62013, and #62822. Per one of those, this may
 be a bug in gnulib. We should probably report it to the gnulib mailing
 list.

 If you want to try a workaround, you could edit the grep Portfile and add
 the line `PortGroup muniversal 1.0` below the PortSystem line.
