 It’s definitely possible, see portfile of {{{mkvtoolnix}}}. But it’s going
 to make the port  much larger more complicated to maintain and I don’t
 really feel like doing it (plus I have no way to test). If you have built
 it on ppc before, it shouldn’t be hard to automate the process in the
 portfile and put it in a local repository.
