 I see you got the port to run in 10.15 and macOS 11.  fantastic.

 And thank you for cleaning up the commit history.  I know I made a mess of
 that.
 It sure looks like it is ready for submission to the official macports
 tree.

 P.S. As for the line CC = gcc in the Makefile. I was told on my first port
 submission (codegroup) that it does not make a difference if one uses CC =
 gcc or CC ?= gcc in the Makefile as far as Macports is concerned.
 Apparently, Macports can override the CC variable.  This is not difficult
 one just passes the CC in the make command.  e.g. `make CC=gcc`.  See
