Comment (by ryandesign):

 The zstd port does not use a configure script and contains much code to
 manually perform a "normal" universal build. When switching to the
 muniversal portgroup, all of that has to be removed or possibly adapted to
 allow the muniveral portgroup to do its "other" kind of universal build.
