 Presumably this is referring to running 10.6 developer previews (or the

 In addition to this being an ongoing community effort, there are likely
 “legal” issues which may prevent its use by MacPorts in any official way,
 including how the developer previews are obtained from file sharing sites
 rather than directly from Apple, and that (to my knowledge) the licensing
 terms of prerelease versions of macOS which restrict their use to
 registered developers and/or public beta participants do not expire upon
 the generally available release.
