 I thought I would try hacking the system glext.h header to match what is
 being done in the mesa version of it, but that just led to copious other
 errors afterwards....

 I'm getting stuck here. Almost ready to hold back SnowLeopard (and older?)
 os versions to mesa 17.x, which seemed to work fine...
