 yeah, honestly, I'm not even sure what the plugins do.  As far as I can
 tell, my gentoo system never has any plugins active/available.  I am
 merely interested in compiling mythfrontend on the macbook pro arm64.
 Although, while I'm doing so, I thought I'd help out resolve any issues
 along the way.  I'll try the latest patch and report back soon.
