 Why not?

 I tried to install ntfs-3g without having FUSE installed. It would require
 osxfuse as a dependency, but whenever it comes to installing osxfuse from
 macports, it would stop with errors.
 I tried to install osxfuse port just by itself and it would not install.
 It gave me the same errors.

 This way worked and it was given to me by another macports user.
