 The i386 assembler in the newer cctools 949 is broken, so we'll have to
 stay on 927 for the time being <https://github.com/macports/macports-
 ports/pull/9796>.

 We could upgrade cctools on systems that will never assemble i386, if we
 wanted to do that. Bit messy. Newer systems all use cctools +xcode, so
 makes little difference to them anyway.
