Ken and others: can you confirm this to work?
It builds on 10.9 for me. Sadly, I cannot test any other platform.

I guess that should be a separate ticket. It sounds like `legacy-
support`'s implementation might be wrong, but I really have no idea what
is causing that and, frankly, I, personally, don't want to put effort into
finding out why it's misbehaving...
