 I thought that adding i3status into the i3 port itself would make sense
 because i3, as it is currently being built, seems to require it (and it’s
 a tiny 200k src file). When I finally got i3 running, it complained about
 a missing library in the status line

 {{{Error: status_command not found or is missing a library dependency
 (exit 127)}}}

 So I thought/assumed that that’s about i3status, but did not investigate
 the issue further.
