 I'm still not sure what the `not a C compiler: should compile 'int i =
 1;'` error is about. Apparently something called "iffe" is trying to use
 the C compiler to compile a simple program and it is failing, but I don't
 know what "iffe" is and the log doesn't seem to be showing us what error
 message the C compiler emitted, so I don't know how to diagnose this. I
 don't think anyone else is experiencing this.

 You might try reinstalling a version of Xcode compatible with your macOS
 version and the matching version of the command line tools to ensure that
 you have a working compiler.
