 I can confirm that the installation was successful after replacing the
 space character between `--disable-driver-kmlsuperoverlay` and the
 trailing newline escape character `\` (on line 101 for me) in the
 `Portfile` found in the directory:
 {{{
 /opt/local/var/macports/sources/rsync.macports.org/macports/release/tarballs/ports/gis/gdal
 }}}
 on my machine.
