 It is certainly possible that there could be a bug found in the current
 cctools lipo command when running on Tiger.

 I worked my way through as much of the Tiger fixes as I could when I
 updated cctools some months ago (the i386 assembler was quite broken, for
 example, and I patched that back to a working condition) -- but I did not
 extensively test lipo...
