 I can see you have an error when you import that libxml2 python library
 when you are using python3.

 I still do not have a ready explanation for you as to why you see that,
 but it works fine for me, and we have been using these things on MacPorts
 for many many years, so it is not likely that the error is in these tools.
 Not impossible, just extremely unlikely.

 I understand you have been hacking into library headers with hexedit, etc.
 I have no idea where you are just now with regards to a virgin build of
 things, to be honest.

 If you want to start clean, we can probably get you going.
