Comment (by kencu):
I'm still getting this:
{{{
$ python3.8
Python 3.8.10 (default, May 23 2021, 18:42:31)
[GCC 4.2.1 (Apple Inc. build 5666) (dot 3) (MacPorts apple-gcc42
5666.3_16)] on darwin
Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information.
>>> import libxml2
>>>
}}}
So I guess until I can reproduce what is happening to you, I'm not going
to be too helpful.
My tools are all built with the current cctools and ld64 however, so they
are not showing as broken to me, although indeed I don't at the moment
have an explanation for you why gcc on Tiger (I tried all of them I had,
including the ones installed by the system originally) seems to give the
proper answer for log2(4096) when cast to a float but not when cast to an
int or a long int. That is a puzzle for me too.
