 Agreed, we don't want to change port `boost`. That's now considered
 legacy, and will be retired once everything has been migrated off of it.

 But we are considering further breakout of Boost-related functionality:
 - Docs have already been taken care of, via new variant 'docs'.
 - Per Rene's suggestion, we're hoping to separate headers, to further
 reduce the footprint.

 Any and all suggestions welcome though!
