 Well, I saw you were pruning, but I was not on the pruning thread to the
 depth that I would have retired the primary gcc compiler for a system.

 But I guess who cares? People can just sort it out themselves.

 In due course, I will move these systems up to gcc11 anyway, and then
 nobody will care about gcc8.
