 well, that's nice. works with mkvtoolnix on Mojave:

 $ port -v installed mkvtoolnix
 The following ports are currently installed:
   mkvtoolnix @55.0.0_0+qtgui (active) platform='darwin 18' archs='x86_64'
 date='2021-03-12T18:01:49-0800'
 }}}
 and so far runs, without extensive testing of all features.
