Comment:

 Damn, my mistake. The clean command was not running with the correct
 options, which means it was using the default 1 hour server timeout... Now
 fixed in https://github.com/macports/macports-
 ports/commit/5257cfc8c13ce743f5098d032840f8b8b8fa45a4
