 Another confirmation that 11.3 appears to fix this.  Previously (on
 11.2.1) doing `port install git +svn` (which pulls down multiple p5* ports
 was a guaranteed kernel panic.  Just updated to 11.3 (and updated xcode to
 12.5) and was able to the install with zero issues.  I also have Cisco
 AnyConnect installed (which has its own share of issues on big sur) and
 did not need to uninstall.
