 Doing an

     use gcc 10.3
 else
     use gcc 11.1
 }}}
 sound like a valid option, but picking the right compiler sounds easy
 enough that it doesn't seem worth the troubles to have to maintain
 multiple versions of gcc in tons of cross-compilers that we are shipping.
