Comment:

 The message is printed here unconditionally from the Makefile after the
 install step:
 https://github.com/macports/macports-
 base/blob/4ce1e96415a0ea29eddee60ef3c84814047289aa/Makefile.in#L112

 This could check for existence of a file in `${prefix}` provided by the
 `mpstats` port.
