 if you make a build dep to {{{git}}} and set this env var
 {{{CARGO_NET_GIT_FETCH_WITH_CLI}}} it will likely work; they all worked
 for me on older systems with that.

 Of course, fetch during fetch etc if you can, goes without
 saying..........
