 according to
 [https://github.com/OSGeo/gdal/blob/eeeffe624996518655f231125712582551222932/gdal/swig/python/setup.py#L399
 upstream], version 3.3.0 supports only Python 3.6+ - so that explains the
 failure for PY27. The PY27 subport should have been pinned to the latest
 supported version in [changeset:eb9357a25f17f52dd40c4c7a2684493eb3b4848b
 /macports-ports this commit].
