 I'm seeing the same type of error after upgrading from Yosemite to
 Monterey, then upgrading MacPorts via reinstall + selfupdate + upgrade
 outdated, except it's now complaining about
 `DEFAULT_SDK_12_0_ARCHITECURES` failing the assertion. I do not have any
 underlying messages about SDK 12.0 not being installed (and it is, with
 Xcode and/or CLT 13.1, license accepted, first-run, etc.), so I'm curious
 as to what was done, if anything, to fix this issue for you?

 Added build log from monterey.
