 I’m not aware why the availability of `xdr_sizeof()` would depend strictly
 on Xcode clang version. On 10.13 High Sierra, what does
 group_replication.so link to which provides the `xdr_sizeof()`
 implementation: a system library, something “copied” into it from Xcode,
 or something else?
