 I have been happily using a pdflatex installation via macports for years,
 with lots of addons from things like texlive.  However, I recently
 upgraded my ports, and in the process the "preprint" bundle

 https://www.ctan.org/tex-archive/macros/latex/contrib/preprint

 seems to have disappeared. I can look at some of my old log files to see
 where it used to live:

 ```
 (/opt/local/share/texmf-texlive/tex/latex/preprint/authblk.sty

 \affilsep=\skip51
 \@affilsep=\skip52

 ```

 but it's not there anymore.  Does anyone know why it got removed? It's
 still listed among the contents of texlive:
