 @vjarao : I'm using Python 3.9 ... can you make sure you're using `gtk
 @3.24.30_0` ... either as +quartz or +x11 ? ... or, actually, I wonder if
 the fix applies to +x11 ... looks like it was for +quartz , which is what
 I always use so-as to avoid X11 & all of those ports & requirements ...
 hmmm ..
